Missouri Life Sciences Week is MU’s premier annual science event, free and open to the public. Started in 1985 (as Molecular Biology Week), the event consistently attracts in excess of:

  • 1,000 academic researchers
  • 300+ research posters
  • many businesses
  • policy makers

Life Sciences Week celebrates individual and collaborative research in the life sciences and also targets:

  • public policy issues
  • science education  and outreach
  • entrepreneurship/economic development

The weeklong event brings about science exploration through:

  • seminars by internationally acclaimed researchers
  • workshops
  • more than 50 exhibitors from scientific supply companies
  • research facility exhibits
  • career-development and networking events

The week culminates with awards for students and postdoctoral fellows deemed the “best of” from poster sessions earlier in the week.
