The University of Missouri is home to a thriving research community that nurtures and supports thousands of students, who are learning to become a new generation of thinkers, problem solvers and innovators. Show Me Research Week is a celebration of their accomplishments and a showcase for all community stakeholders to see their investments come to fruition. This week was born from a collaboration between the Bond Life Sciences Center and the Office of Undergraduate Research. Prior to the pandemic, both organizations held long-standing research weeks to celebrate their respective annual accomplishments. In reimagining a new event for a new era, it was decided they wanted a campus wide showcase for the entire research community.
We are stronger together and if the cataclysmic disasters of the past few years have taught us anything, it is that researchers in silos will not solve the problems in our next generation. We are grateful for all of our community supporters and sponsors that contribute in countless ways to make this event happen. This week is a culmination of all our combined efforts and is representative of our University’s values – respect, responsibility, discovery and excellence.
